Here are a few tips for buyers to ensure that they have a quick and satisfactory purchase process:
KNOW YOUR SELLER
Before you bid or buy on MyFashionFair.com, it is important that you get to know as much as you can about your seller. Always check their member profile, and particularly their feedback ratings. Don't just check their feedback score or positive feedback - check the comments that other buyers have left, and whether they have experience selling items of a similar style, type and cost to the one you're interested in.
You should be able to build up a fairly good picture of your seller using this method, and it should support you in making an informed decision when choosing who you will buy from.
KNOW YOUR ITEM
Make sure you read the item description fully before you place a bid or commit to a Buy Now sale from a shop. The item description is the part of the page where sellers tell you about the characteristics, condition, etc., of the item they are selling. Make sure you check the things that are particular to that item - for example, if you are buying shoes, check you've got the right size.
Other things to consider when you are checking the details of the item include P&P costs, what payment methods your seller accepts, and the details of their returns policy, if they offer one. If there are details you need to know, click into the item and ask them a question using the send private message or post public message buttons. You will find this on the right-hand side of the page on which the item is listed.
All sellers can be contacted by email. Good sellers will be happy to help and should respond within a day or two. Also, study the photographs closely, and if you can't see the item properly, you could always ask the seller to send you more.
DOING THE DEAL - MAKING PAYMENT
If you see something you like you can enquire about it or simply make an offer to buy it. You can then negotiate the sale price, delivery method & costs and payment (we recommend using Pay Pal) with the seller. We don't recommend divulging your credit card details to any third party, in all cases we recommend using Pay Pal to ensure security.
PayPal will ask you to enter credit card details if you choose credit card as one of the ways to transfer money to your Pay Pal account. Pay Pal uses the latest technology to keep your details safe, uses them only when you say so and will not share your details with anybody else.
CREDIT CARD DETAILS
Submitting your credit card details
MyFashionFair.com will never ask for your credit card details and we therefore do not ever see them. When you buy a package from us to list an item for sale/swap you will be re-directed to Pay Pal. This is a safe and secure method of payment, it means your details are safe and we never see them.
